The Short Cuts Fall Film Festival continues with an online event that showcases acclaimed LGBTQ+ short films from around the globe, with the HUNTFORMEN.com debut of Monte. Starring Miquel Ínsua, Álvaro Larrán, and Guillermo Weickert, this Spanish short from director Javier Ferreiro makes its way to NakedSword following its successful festival run at Mix Brasil São Paulo 2023, LesGaiCineMad Madrid 2023, Mostra Fire!! After a heart attack, Luís experiences the threat of death for the first time, as well as the impact of aging on his body. Scared, he decides to retreat to a mountain house belonging to his ex-husband, Galo. Luís intends to move away from what he wants the most – his young boyfriend, Mario, who is unwilling to let him go so easily. In the same mountain refuge where he spent his childhood, Luís will be forced to confront his fear of death and old age, while he fights the desire to keep Mario by his side.
