Last night in Las Vegas, Falcon | NakedSword’s award-winning filmmaker Steve Cruz was inducted into the GAYVN Hall of Fame, honoring a trailblazing career that spans more than two decades. A former superstar model turned visionary director, Cruz has left an indelible mark both in front of and behind the camera, earning widespread acclaim for his creative impact and his continued influence on the gay adult industry.
In 2006, Steve Cruz made his performing debut in a hit Raging Stallion production shot in Hawaii, fast becoming one of the industry’s most in-demand stars. He went on to earn top honors including Grabby Awards for Best Newcomer and Performer of the Year, as well as a GAYVN Award for Best Supporting Actor. In 2008, Cruz expanded his creative influence when he was tapped to direct his first feature for Falcon Studios. Since then, he has built an admirable career behind the camera, consistently delivering high-quality films while taking on multiple creative roles – from cinematography and editing to producing and writing – and earning many additional awards along the way.
“Steve Cruz’s induction into the GAYVN Hall of Fame is richly deserved and long overdue,” said Falcon | NakedSword President and CEO Tim Valenti. “From iconic performer to award-winning director, Steve has helped define the past and inform the future of our industry. His talent and impact are undeniable, and we’re proud to celebrate his legacy.”
“It’s hard to believe that 20 years have gone by in a flash – and all of it spent with an amazing team of creatives who have been a family to me,” said Cruz. “The Falcon | NakedSword brands gave me purpose and kept me growing artistically, year after year. Yet, I feel like I am making my best work to date. Every day is a new adventure, one in which I never stop learning, never stop refining the craft. I am so grateful.”
